BMC FB01071 – High-Performance Replacement Air Filter for the Original Airbox

BMC FB01071 is a high-quality cylindrical air filter designed for Audi A6 and A7 models. The filter fits directly into the original airbox, replacing the factory paper filter without requiring any modifications to the intake system.

BMC air filters are a popular upgrade for both standard and tuned vehicles. The higher-flow filter reduces intake restriction and allows the engine to breathe more efficiently while maintaining excellent filtration. Especially on tuned engines, a high-flow air filter is an easy way to make sure the factory paper filter does not unnecessarily restrict airflow.

BMC manufactures its filters using a Full Moulding process, producing the filter from a single mould without welded joints. The filter element consists of multiple layers of oiled cotton gauze protected by an epoxy-coated alloy mesh. According to BMC, the filter is capable of filtering contaminants down to 7 microns.

Unlike a conventional disposable paper filter, the BMC filter is washable and reusable. It can be serviced using BMC’s dedicated cleaning and re-oiling kit, allowing the same filter to be used for a long time without regular replacement.
