Eventuri Turbo inlet tube, Toyota Yaris GR / Corolla GR

Eventuri’s new carbon fibre turbo inlet / turbo intake tube for Toyota GR Yaris and GR Corolla models. The Eventuri Turbo Tube replaces the factory turbo inlet pipe with a significantly larger and better-flowing design, making it an excellent upgrade alongside the Eventuri intake system.

This isn’t simply a carbon fibre version of the original pipe – Eventuri has redesigned the entire geometry from the ground up. Internal volume has been increased from approximately 1300 cm³ in the factory pipe to an impressive 2200 cm³, making it almost 70% larger. In particular, the bend immediately before the turbo has been significantly enlarged and its geometry optimised to provide the smoothest possible airflow.

The increased air volume immediately before the turbo provides the compressor with a more readily available supply of air and reduces restrictions on the intake side. According to Eventuri, this also reduces the required wastegate duty cycle and provides a significantly sharper throttle response.

Measured performance

The Eventuri Turbo Tube was independently tested by GR4 specialist Limit+1 on a Toyota GR Corolla running the factory ECU calibration. The vehicle was equipped with an Eventuri intake during both tests, with the only change being the replacement of the factory turbo inlet pipe with the Eventuri Turbo Tube.

Optimised design

The most significant restriction in the factory inlet pipe is found in the bend immediately before the turbo, where the cross-sectional area and internal volume are considerably reduced. This can become a limiting factor, particularly at higher boost pressures. Eventuri has significantly enlarged this section while optimising the bend radius to provide the smoothest possible airflow.

The tube is manufactured from 100% prepreg carbon fibre with no fibreglass layers. This allows for an extremely smooth internal surface to further improve airflow. The rigid carbon fibre construction also prevents the tube from deforming under the vacuum generated by the turbocharger.

The carbon fibre tube connects to a custom-made nitrile rubber elbow and a CNC-machined aluminium turbo flange. The tube features an OEM-style engine mounting point as well as the required breather connections, making installation as straightforward as possible.

Ready for larger turbos too

Eventuri has also taken into account that the appetite for more power tends to grow over time. The CNC-machined turbo flange features a modular design, allowing the tube to be used with larger hybrid turbochargers simply by replacing the flange with one suitable for the turbo in question. Alternative flanges are available separately.
