F* Air-to-Water Intercooler Upgrade – BMW S55 Engines

This intercooler is designed as a high-quality replacement for the factory plastic unit used in S55-equipped BMW M models. The OEM cooler is known to crack under increased boost and uses a tube-and-fin core that is not well suited for higher thermal loads. Our F* product line offers superior cooling capacity over stock, offering an affordable option for more expensive brand products in our catalogue (e.g. Wagner Tuning).

This unit is a direct fit in place of stock core.

Cast aluminum end tanks feature internal flow guides to help maintain consistent airflow across the core. A high-density bar-and-plate dual-pass core provides improved thermal efficiency, while CNC-machined fittings, reinforced mounting points and quality hardware ensure durability. Each assembly is pressure tested and finished in a durable black coating.
