A more efficient intercooler is one of the first recommended upgrades for the 2.0 TFSI EA113 engine (Mk5/Mk6 Golf GTI and R, Audi S3 8P, Seat Cupra, Skoda Octavia vRS, etc.). Even at Stage 1 power levels, the factory intercooler heats up quickly and can lead to power loss during long pulls or repeated acceleration. A larger and more efficient core significantly lowers intake temperatures, improving consistency and repeatability – even on completely stock vehicles.
