This item is typically used to complete the main IE air intake kit, but can be used separately as well.

EA888.3 intake can be pictured in few different sections combined together:

1. Air scoop behind your front grill. Collects fresh air mass and leads it to your air filter box.
2. Air filter box and air filter element
3. Intake hose between air filter box and turbo inlet
4. Turbo inlet elbow, a 90-degree piece that leads airflow to your IS38 turbo compressor.

While all of these are beneficial upgrades, the most critical ones are the filter box and the turbo inlet. With these the gains can be up to 10 to 20hp compared to stock intake, depending on your setup.

So, how much of a difference?

Let’s bring in the numbers. As we can see, while the intake itself is important, the turbo inlet is very much needed to release all the potential. Air can only flow as much as the bottleneck in it’s route allows.
