Ignition Coil Ground Connection Kit – EA888 Gen3 2.0 TSI

This kit provides an improved ground connection for the ignition coils on EA888 Gen3 engines. From the factory, the coilpacks are grounded through a bolt to the cylinder head. Over time, this connection can wear out, corrode, or even break, leading to misfires and ignition issues.

Attention!

• There are two different kits for the 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.3 vehicles, depending on which part number of the coil connector you have. The number can be found on the coil connector.
• Please choose between 8K0971994 or 4D0971994.
• Vehicles from 2016 onwards usually have plugs with part number 4D0971994; vehicles before 2016 usually have 8K0971994. However, we recommend checking this in advance.
• How to check: Disconnect the ignition coil connector from your ignition coil pack. On the underside of the connector you’ll find a series of characters under the VW/Audi logos. The first three characters are either 4D0 or 8K0. This indicates which version of the kit you need.
