Amsoil is a US-based lubricant manufacturer known for maintaining extremely high quality standards without the cost-cutting measures that have affected many traditional oil brands. The focus is purely on lubrication performance and engine durability.

What should you know about this product?

Signature Series (SS) is AMSOIL’s line representing the latest expertise for gasoline engines. The oils are designed to meet the newest approvals from American and Japanese manufacturers, as well as several manufacturer-specific approvals like GM dexos 1 Gen 2.

Engine protection against wear and power loss is 75% better than required by the stringent API SN oil standard (100-hour Sequence IVA wear test). In turbocharged direct-injection (GDI) engines, some motor oil additives can cause Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI). This critical issue has been accounted for in the SS series oils, providing 100% protection against LSPI.

SS series oils are made from highly thermally stable synthetic raw materials, making them excellently suited for turbo use. Intended for newer high-performance turbocharged engines, including those running E85.

Drain Interval

• Normal Service: 40,000 km or 700 hours or once per year when using an AMSOIL oil filter.
• Severe Service or with other-brand filters: Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended interval or 24,000 km or once per year.
• Severe Service (e.g.): Modified engines, commercial fleet vehicles, fuels other than gasoline (E85, gas), extensive idling, short trips, or stop-and-go driving.

0W-20 (ASM) meets the following specifications: API SP (Resource Conserving), SN PLUS, SN…; GM dexos1 Gen 2 (supersedes 6094M); ACEA A1/B1; Ford WSS-M2C947-B1, WSS-M2C947-A; Chrysler MS-6395; ILSAC GF-6A, GF-5, GF-4.
