Amsoil is a US-based lubricant manufacturer known for maintaining extremely high quality standards without the cost-cutting measures that have affected many traditional oil brands. The focus is purely on lubrication performance and engine durability.

In our own workshop projects Amsoil is often a requirement, not just a recommendation. A quality oil is the cheapest insurance you can buy for a tuned or heavily loaded engine.

What should you know about this product? 

Intended for manual transmissions, especially in rear-wheel-drive cars. Full synthetic composition effectively prevents thinning and shearing caused by heat. Synchronization works smoothly and quickly thanks to the balanced friction coefficient. Excellent shear stability and wear prevention. Safe for bronze synchronizers. Operates in temperatures -40°C to 150°C. Not suitable for hypoid gears, wet clutches, or limited-slip differentials.

In Finland, MTF oil has been found to work excellently in, for example, American Tremec transmissions, where the factory recommendation is usually ATF, and German ZF transmissions. Note that the recommendation table on Amsoil’s pages gives an oil corresponding to the car manufacturer’s recommendation, even if a better product is available. The factory’s view is that we may deviate from the recommendation table according to our best judgment. Drain interval 80,000 to 240,000 km (according to the manufacturer’s recommendation). MTF is the oil recommended by Whipple supercharger manufacturer for Whipple supercharger gearboxes.

Viscosity corresponds to 5W-30 engine oil (70W-80 gear oil).
