Important notes: This short shifter is designed to work with the original shift cables of several transmissions, BUT cables have to be rerouted to go through interior of the car. This works great for race cars without interior, as hole in tunnel can be closed also cables are much safer inside the car. It’s a perfect fit for all 02A and 02J early transmissions, whethert hey’re 5-speed or 6-speed cable-operated models. If your cables ends are different diameter – this will work. If you cables are two identical sizes– you need another model suitable for 02J/02M/02Q transmissions which we also have.
