Important: This short shifter is designed to work with the original shift cables of several transmissions, BUT cables have to be rerouted to go through interior of the car. This works great for race cars without interior, as hole in tunnel can be closed also cables are much safer inside the car. It’s a perfect fit for all 02M / 02Q / 02J transmissions, whether they’re 5-speed or 6-speed cable-operated models. If your cables ends are SAME diameter – this will work. If you cables are two different sizes – you need another model suitable for 02A and early 02J transmissions which we also offer.
