ACL Race Series engine bearings – ditch the stock ones.
ACL Race connecting rod bearings – Nissan GT-R 3.8L V6 (VR38DETT, R35)
ACL Race is a bearing shell well known among performance builders and racers, combining OEM-type surface properties with a base structure designed to withstand high loads. These bearings are perfectly suitable for normal street use without compromising service life, while also meeting the demands of the most extreme racing applications. Extremely popular in heavily modified BMW, Honda, and Nissan engines, among many others.
- Highly competitive pricing relative to performance, often even significantly cheaper than OEM bearings.
- Pricing is per set, meaning one connecting rod bearing set covers all connecting rod journals of the engine.
- When installing, ensure the journals are in flawless condition; machine or polish as required.
- IMPORTANT: Always follow correct assembly practices and ACL-recommended bearing clearances. Especially too tight bearing clearances can be catastrophic for a modified engine.
VR38DETT bearings are available in a couple of different options:
Standard sets
– STD, standard size.
– 0.25 undersize, for cases where journals need machining due to wear, for example.
GRADE classification (as per Nissan OE)
Bearings can also be ordered individually per journal in the desired Grade clearance class (click the image below). See the separate product in our selection or contact our sales team; pricing for individually ordered journals is higher.
ACL RACE is an exceptional high performance bearing for any tuned engine.
Comparison of bearing materials, most OEM bearings are of Lead or Aluminium Tin type
