Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda MQB – smaller bushing for the engine dogbone mount
One of the most popular and widely supported model families in the Futurez range is the MQB platform VAG vehicles, for which we offer nearly every possible performance part and upgrade service.
A very popular small upgrade for these models is reinforcing the so called dogbone mount. Over time and mileage, the bushings in this mount can wear out and cause excess play and vibration in the drivetrain.
The most common upgrade is the large bushing shown as number 2 in the image below. Read more about that upgrade in the product: MQB Dogbone polyurethane bushings
This product, however, is the smaller joint or bushing located in arm number 10, which you may want to replace at the same time once you start working on the dogbone mount.
This bushing fits arm number 10.
Selecting the correct bushing type
To make things slightly less straightforward, there are multiple versions of this dogbone arm. The comparison image below helps you identify your version. You can check the arm easily by lifting the vehicle and slightly pulling back the undertray.
After confirming the correct type, you can select the matching part number from the product options as shown in the image.
Tips and notes
- We also recommend replacing the factory mounting bolt (#12 in the image), as it is officially a single use stretch bolt.
