Our best-selling solution for the infamous BMW N54 crank hub issue. This VTT-manufactured complete kit eliminates the common failure problem without drilling or modifying the crankshaft.

The VTT hub features the manufacturer’s proprietary Spline Lock design. It utilizes extremely tight-tolerance machined splines that bite into the crankshaft, creating a very secure mechanical lock. The product is the result of extensive testing, and this latest production version proved so strong during factory testing that before the hub itself failed, the test bench and surrounding components gave way.

Installation does not require drilling or crankshaft modification like many competing solutions. It installs in place of the factory component, saving labor time and avoiding potential structural weakening of the crankshaft, such as micro-cracks that can occur after drilling.

The kit is always delivered as a complete package, including a pre-installed oil pump gear assembly and, as an added benefit, the VTT Bolt Capture locking system for the crank bolt. This dual-security approach maximizes durability by ensuring the bolt torque cannot loosen over time.

NOTE: This kit is designed for use with the original BMW crank bolt. Always install with a new OEM bolt. This kit must not be used with aftermarket crank bolts.
