MHD ECA ethanol sensor kit – F-series N55 and S55 engines with automatic transmission

With this kit, you can feed real-time data of the ethanol content in your fuel line directly to your vehicle’s CAN bus. Typically, the MHD ECA CAN kit is used together with the well-known MHD Flash programming tool/app familiar to many BMW enthusiasts, allowing the system to enable fully automatic FlexFuel adjustment based on ethanol content.

The kit is compatible with all F-series models equipped with N55 / S55 engines. See installation video below.

In other words – your engine power and tuning will automatically adjust depending on whether the tank contains gasoline or an ethanol blend that enables higher power and more aggressive tuning.

The kit has official compatibility with MHD and EcuTek tuned systems, and may also work with others.

BMW FlexFuel kit installation

The ethanol sensor kit is straightforward to install, but please note that the vehicle must be lifted on jack stands or a lift for installation.
