Garrett Powermax Stage 1 turbocharger EA888 Gen4 (GTI), up to 450 hp performance for MK8 GTI models

Garrett Powermax Stage 1 is a GT2260S based turbocharger designed as a direct replacement for the factory turbo, fitting directly to EA888 Gen4 MQB so called GTI engines (see detailed compatibility list below). With proper engine tuning, this turbo can deliver close to 450 hp while still maintaining fast response and OEM like driving comfort.

Garrett Gen II GTX compressor technology allows significantly higher airflow across the entire RPM range, which translates in real world driving to a strong power band, fast spool and excellent drivability. A very solid choice for both mild and more aggressive tuning builds while keeping the car responsive and dynamic to drive.

This turbo features a 360° thrust bearing design and provision for a turbo speed sensor. Maximum turbo speed is approximately 186000 rpm. The turbo rotates counter clockwise and uses a journal bearing design built for long term high load operation when properly maintained.
