The downpipe – and the first metre or two of the exhaust system – are generally the most critical sections for flow. Exhaust gases are extremely hot right after combustion and require maximum flow capacity to exit efficiently. Upgrading the downpipe makes a significant difference in both performance and turbocharger efficiency.

Please keep in mind that depending on the vehicle model, this product may replace or disable emission-control systems such as DPF, EGR or AdBlue.

Main types of Downpipes

• RACE: Straight decat downpipe for maximum flow and strongest exhaust note. Not road-legal in most countries as it does not pass emissions testing (always check local regulations).
• 100CPI Euro3: High-flow 100CPI catalytic converter that reduces odour and slightly softens exhaust tone.
• 200CPI Euro4: Most popular choice. High-flow 200CPI metallic cat with filtration capacity that meets emission levels in many vehicles (check local regulations). Offers near-straight-pipe flow.
• For some models, additional OBD-compatible, Euro6 or FIA-certified catalytic converters are available.

Catalytic converters

RM Motors uses only high-quality metallic catalytic cores. These withstand spirited driving and tuned engines with ease. In most cases, 100CPI or 200CPI cats flow almost identically to a straight pipe in terms of performance.
