Is QuickPlate approved – what does the inspection guy say?

This kit is approved and legal to use, as long as you remember to put the plates back on before driving on public roads.
If you’re the forgetful type, it’s a good idea to keep the plates somewhere obvious (like the driver’s footwell) while parked, so you’ll remember them when leaving.

QuickPlate is delivered in a properly packed and well-finished product kit. You will find two boxes, each one of them including:

• 2 x Torx 6 x 20 mm screw
• 2 x Torx M6 x 20 mm screw

Installation instructions

1. Remove the license plate and the plate backing plate from the car. Clean the surface thoroughly before attaching the magnets. Especially when using 3M tape, all grease and wax should be removed carefully, for example with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) or a similar cleaner.
2. Screw the QuickPlate counter magnets into the holes in the bumper. (Alternatively, use 3M tape on a clean and smooth mounting surface)
3. Place the magnets that will go on the plate onto the counterparts on the car first, and remove the protective films from the adhesive.
4. IMPORTANT: Measure and position the plate carefully before pressing it into place! The magnet position cannot be easily changed after the 3M tape has bonded to the surface.
5. Carefully remove the plate with the magnets from the car, and press the adhesive pads firmly into place by hand.

Finally, attach the included cushioning pads / support blocks behind the license plate. These prevent the plate from vibrating and resonating while driving (for example due to airflow), supporting it firmly against the bumper.

• • If you use brush car washes, we recommend removing the plates before washing. The brushes are surprisingly rough and may manage to grab the plate as they rotate.
