Aluminum Hub Centric Ring – 73.1 / 64.1
Aluminum hub centric rings are the best solution when installing alloy wheels whose center bore is larger than your vehicle’s hub size. This is common with aftermarket wheels designed to fit multiple vehicles, or when fitting wheels from another car model onto your own. A hub ring ensures the wheel sits firmly against the hub and is perfectly centered, preventing unnecessary vibration and shaking.
This product includes a set of 4 hub rings.
Product dimensions:
Outer diameter: 73.1
Inner diameter: 64.1
Application: For installing wheels with a 73,1mm center bore onto a vehicle with a 64,1mm hub (e.g. Honda, Toyota, Volvo)
What are hub rings used for?
First of all, it is important that your wheels either have the correct center bore from the factory or at least use traditional plastic hub rings. We include these, for example, with all wheels sold by Futurez. Whatever someone might claim at the local garage café, you will make your life easier by using proper rings.
Without rings, the real-world result is always more or less vibration compared to a properly centered wheel. Driving comfort suffers for a very small and easily avoidable reason.
Why are aluminum hub rings better?
Your wheel is aluminum, and a precision-machined aluminum hub ring provides virtually the same result as a wheel machined with the exact correct center bore. Aluminum withstands heat and wear without cracking or deforming and also makes wheel changes easier.
Aluminum versions are better but not significantly more expensive than plastic ones, so the upgrade does not punish your wallet.
Plastic rings work, but depending on use they have weaknesses:
- During track driving or hard use, brake heat warms the hub. Plastic rings can melt and lose shape.
- During wheel changes, you may accidentally hit the hub area and crack or deform the plastic ring.
- Plastic rings, especially thin ones, may develop cracks over time.
A billet-machined aluminum ring fits precisely and tightly, ensuring the wheel spins smoothly without vibration caused by poor centering.
