The Burger Motorsports BMS cowl filters are a smart upgrade for BMW E chassis owners looking for a lightweight and functional cowl delete solution. They improve overall engine bay cooling, make access to the DME box and service areas easier, and allow you to better hear how the engine is running.
What does it do
BMW E chassis enthusiasts have known for a long time that removing the cowl and HVAC filter system can help reduce weight, improve cooling, and simplify maintenance. The problem has always been how to prevent dirt and debris from falling into the interior ventilation system. BMS solved this with cleanable dry filters that look great and keep debris out of the cabin intake area.
These are non-oiled dry filters. To clean, simply rinse with water, let dry, and reinstall. Do not oil.
What’s included
Installation note
There are different left and right cowl filters. Installing them on the incorrect sides may visually deform the filter element. Please follow the installation guide.
