IE Cold Air Intake System for Audi C7 A6 & A7 3.0T

The Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake is a performance intake system engineered for Audi C7 A6 and A7 models equipped with the supercharged 3.0T V6 engine. Developed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and motorsport-inspired airflow principles, the system is designed to maximize airflow, improve engine efficiency and deliver consistent performance for both street and track use.

On properly tuned vehicles, the intake can support gains of up to 15-20 horsepower while sharpening throttle response and enhancing the distinctive supercharger sound compared to the factory intake system.

Technical Information

The intake incorporates a large integrated velocity stack that smoothly channels airflow from the entire filter surface into the intake tract while minimizing turbulence and pressure loss. The velocity stack also serves as a rigid mounting point for the air filter, reducing movement and vibration during operation.

A multi-piece aluminum heat shield forms an effective ram-air system that directs cool outside air from the front of the vehicle while shielding the intake from engine bay heat to help maintain consistent intake temperatures.

Performance

Higher-output ECU calibrations, smaller supercharger pulleys and other performance upgrades demand greater airflow than the factory intake system can provide. The IE intake increases the available airflow to help support these modifications while maintaining smooth airflow throughout the intake path.

The freer-flowing design also allows the characteristic supercharger whine and induction sounds to become more noticeable while retaining the refined sound quality of an enclosed intake system.

Installation

The intake installs using the factory mounting locations without drilling or permanent modifications. All required intake tubing, silicone couplers, heat shield components and installation hardware are included for a straightforward bolt-on installation.

Optional Carbon Fiber Lid

An optional high-gloss carbon fiber lid is available separately to complete the appearance of the intake system. It is designed specifically for the IE airbox and follows the factory engine bay contours for an OEM-quality fit and finish.
