The Spool front heat exchanger increases heat rejection from the charge-cooler circuit on the Mercedes-AMG C 63 M177. Its larger core transfers more heat from the coolant to the passing air, helping control intake temperature during repeated pulls and hot weather.
The upgrade is useful with both stock and upgraded turbos. It does not create power by itself, but helps the engine retain consistent output by reducing heat-related power reduction. Bleed the cooling circuit carefully after installation.
