GLYCO Crankshaft Main Bearing Set for BMW M57 Diesel Engines

GLYCO H1238/7 STD is a standard-size crankshaft main bearing set for selected BMW 2.5- and 3.0-litre M57 diesel engines. The set is intended for engine rebuilding when the crankshaft and bearing housings remain at their original STD dimensions.

The bronze-coated steel-backed set contains six 72-4525 main bearings and one 72-4526H bearing for crankshaft end-float control. Bearing thickness is 2.502 mm, the stated crankshaft journal diameter is 59.971–59.990 mm and the housing diameter is 65.000–65.019 mm.

Two different main-bearing families are listed for M57 applications, including H1238/7 and H023/7. Do not select the set solely by the M57 designation or vehicle model. Verify the correct version using the engine code and VIN, and compare the numbers and construction of the removed bearings before ordering.

STD denotes standard size. The crankshaft journals and bearing clearances must be measured during the rebuild; this set does not compensate for a worn or machined crankshaft.
