When tuning the BMW B58 engine, the HPFP high pressure fuel pump will be your first weak point. However, eventually when the turbo gets bigger and ethanol content increases, the original in-tank LPFP pump will agree to disagree with your line pressure demands. To maintain a safe line pressure that is able to feed, cool and lubricate the high pressure pump, upgrade is needed.

Choose a DIY set (delivered with good instructions), or a complete ready built Stage3 unit.
