Spool Stage 3 Low Pressure Fuel Pump [FXX N55]

The Spool Stage 3 LPFP kit increases low-side fuel delivery from the tank to the high-pressure pump. Once the direct-injection pump and injectors are upgraded, the factory in-tank pump can become the restriction, particularly on ethanol and higher-power builds.

Depending on the application, the system uses an additional or dual-pump arrangement that brings the extra pump online under load. This supplies the required flow when boost and fuel demand rise without running all available pump capacity at full output all the time.

The pump and its electrical control must be sized as a complete system. The higher current draw of a Walbro 525 in particular must be considered when selecting relays, wiring and PWM control. Do not overload the factory pump controller to obtain more flow.
