IE Throttle Body Upgrade Kit for Audi B8/B8.5 S4, S5 & C7 A6/A7 3.0T

The Integrated Engineering Throttle Body Upgrade Kit removes one of the final airflow restrictions from the Audi 3.0T supercharged engine. Featuring a larger 80 mm throttle body, precision-machined adapter and matching ECU calibration, the kit delivers up to 20% more airflow than the factory throttle body.

Designed specifically for vehicles equipped with the IE Stage 2 Dual Pulley ECU tune, this upgrade allows the supercharger to breathe more efficiently and supports power levels of up to 548 HP on properly equipped vehicles.

Technical Information

The included cast aluminum adapter provides a smooth transition between the larger 80 mm throttle body and the supercharger inlet, minimizing turbulence and pressure loss. Unlike simple adapter plates, the fully machined casting maximizes airflow while maintaining excellent fitment.

IE selected the 80 mm throttle body after extensive flow bench and dyno testing. Smaller throttle bodies did not eliminate the factory restriction, while larger 90 mm units provided no measurable performance advantage.

Performance

On Stage 2 Dual Pulley setups, the factory throttle body becomes a significant airflow bottleneck. Upgrading to the IE system allows the supercharger to operate more efficiently, supporting higher horsepower and torque while maximizing the benefits of pulley upgrades, cooling modifications and ECU calibration.

For optimal results, IE recommends pairing this upgrade with an IE Cold Air Intake System.

Installation

The kit includes the 80 mm throttle body, cast aluminum adapter, Plug & Play wiring harness and reinforced silicone intake coupler. Installation is completely bolt-on with no permanent modifications required.

Notes

Requires an existing IE Stage 2 Dual Pulley ECU tune. The required throttle body ECU calibration is provided free of charge for existing IE Stage 2 Dual Pulley customers. Not compatible with CREC engines.
