Genuine VW OEM PCV Breather Assembly (Oil Separator) – EA888 GEN3
This is the updated 06K103495BM PCV breather assembly (oil separator) for Audi, Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda EA888 Gen 3 engines. It replaces, among others, the previous part numbers listed below. The latest revision has proven to be more reliable than earlier versions, and if your PCV system has failed, installing a new genuine OEM unit is the easiest and most dependable solution.
On these engines, the PCV assembly is a common failure point and can cause symptoms such as unstable idle, intermittent misfires and occasional blue oil smoke from the exhaust.
This part number replaces, among others:
06K103495P
06K103495AA
06K103495AG
06K103495AT
Compatibility Notes:
Please note that on some EA888 Gen 3 engines, the BM version is not compatible. Engines equipped with the larger AVS (Audi Valvelift System) mechanism on the intake camshaft do not provide sufficient clearance for the oil deflector built into the BM breather housing (see image).
For these engines, use PCV breather assembly part number 06K103495BL instead.

A faulty or worn PCV breather assembly is a common cause of the following issues:
- Excessive oil consumption
- Blue smoke or intermittent puffs of smoke from the exhaust
- Rough or unstable idle
- Crankcase ventilation system problems
Some aftermarket catch cans and racing-style oil separators can themselves introduce issues, especially on engines equipped with upgraded turbochargers or other performance modifications. Insufficient crankcase vacuum may actually increase oil consumption and intermittent exhaust smoke, while also allowing oil to leak more easily past the turbocharger seals. A genuine OEM PCV assembly is a proven, reliable solution that is quick and straightforward to install.
- Latest factory revision with updated internal design
- Supersedes previous EA888 Gen 3 oil separator versions
- OEM fit and reliability – no modifications or tuning required
- Helps prevent common oil consumption and exhaust smoke issues
