Eventuri Hybrid Airbox for BMW E46 M3 – CSL-inspired sound without deleting the MAF

The Eventuri Hybrid Airbox is a thoroughly engineered intake solution for the S54-powered BMW E46 M3. It combines the sharper response and dramatic induction sound of a carbon CSL-style airbox with retention of the original mass airflow sensor. This avoids the ECU conversion normally required when changing to a traditional MAF-less CSL setup.

Design and performance

Air travels from the filter to the individual throttle bodies through a large prepreg carbon fibre plenum and Eventuri’s Venturi-based airflow path. The organic shape reduces abrupt changes in direction and helps maintain smooth airflow throughout the system. Eventuri reports gains of approximately 20–22 hp and 8–13 ft-lb with the factory ECU calibration.

Two configurations

The full kit includes the Hybrid Airbox together with Eventuri’s carbon filter housing, dry filter and cold-air scoop. The airbox-only version is intended for owners who already have an Eventuri E46 M3 intake and can reuse its filter housing and scoop.

• EPDM flexible coupler, silicone couplers, breather hose and required vacuum tubing

Please note: The airbox-only version is designed for use with an existing Eventuri E46 M3 intake. Choose the full kit if the car does not already have that intake.
