IE Cold Air Intake System for Audi B9/B9.5 SQ5 3.0T

The Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake System is engineered to improve airflow, throttle response, and induction sound on the Audi B9 and B9.5 SQ5 3.0T. Its one-piece rotomolded polymer airbox provides excellent heat resistance and maximizes internal air volume, delivering cooler, smoother airflow to the turbocharger.

The system flows up to 24% more air than the factory intake. When combined with the IE Turbo Inlet Pipe, total airflow increases by up to 50.4%, supporting gains of up to 19 HP and 21 lb-ft on tuned vehicles.

Technical Information

The intake airbox is manufactured using a rotational molding process that creates consistent wall thickness, superior heat resistance, and seamless construction. An integrated velocity stack provides a smooth transition from the large 5-inch air filter to the turbo inlet, minimizing turbulence and maximizing laminar airflow.

Performance

The intake system increases airflow by up to 24% over the factory airbox. When paired with the IE Turbo Inlet Pipe, airflow increases by as much as 50.4%. On tuned vehicles, this combination can deliver gains of up to 19 HP and 21 lb-ft while improving throttle response, turbo efficiency, and induction sound.

Installation

The system installs directly using factory mounting locations without permanent modifications. It is fully compatible with the factory turbocharger and can easily be upgraded later with the IE Turbo Inlet Pipe for hybrid turbo applications.

Notes

The IE Turbo Inlet Pipe is an optional upgrade and is sold separately. Hybrid turbo adapter rings are also sold separately. Pairing the intake with the IE Turbo Inlet Pipe provides the high airflow and performance potential.
