The Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake System unlocks the performance potential of the EA888 Gen 4 EVO engine with a motorsport-inspired design focused on airflow, sound, and power. A large 5-inch air filter, integrated velocity stack, and one-piece turbo inlet deliver unrestricted airflow while supporting future turbocharger upgrades.

An aluminum heat shield seals the intake from engine bay heat and channels cool outside air directly from the front grille. Combined with the free-flow intake path, the system delivers aggressive turbo spool, induction sound, and impressive power gains of up to 35 HP with Stage 2 tuning.

Technical Information

The intake features a one-piece turbo inlet without silicone couplers, reducing airflow transitions and turbulence. A built-in velocity stack efficiently guides air from the 5-inch filter into the intake tract, while the aluminum heat shield isolates the system from engine bay heat.

Performance

The full-width ram air design channels cool outside air directly from the front grille for high airflow efficiency. With Stage 2 ECU tuning, the intake supports gains of up to 35 HP on Golf R and Audi S3 models and up to 17 HP on the Golf GTI while significantly enhancing induction and turbo sound.

Installation

The system installs using factory mounting locations with a simple bolt-on design. The integrated one-piece turbo inlet requires only three clamps, making installation straightforward without permanent modifications.

Notes

The optional high-gloss carbon fiber Air Intake Lid is sold separately. Advertised power gains require compatible Stage 2 ECU tuning.
