The Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake is a performance intake system designed for Audi B8 and B8.5 A4, A4 Allroad and A5 models equipped with the 2.0T TFSI engine. Developed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and detailed 3D scans of the engine bay, the system is engineered to maximize airflow while reducing intake restrictions.

The sealed airbox, integrated velocity stack and heat shield work together to improve airflow, sharpen throttle response and enhance turbo induction sound. The intake is suitable for both stock and tuned vehicles.

Technical Information

The integrated velocity stack promotes smooth airflow from the air filter into the intake tract while minimizing turbulence and pressure loss. The sealed airbox isolates the intake from engine bay heat, helping maintain more consistent intake air temperatures.

The intake geometry has been optimized through CFD airflow analysis, while detailed 3D scanning ensures precise OEM-style fitment and proper clearances throughout the engine bay.

Performance

The freer-flowing intake reduces the airflow restrictions of the factory airbox, allowing the engine to better utilize ECU tuning and other performance upgrades. At the same time, it provides a noticeably more pronounced turbocharger and induction sound.

Installation

The system installs using the factory mounting points without drilling or permanent modifications. All required hardware is included, and installation can typically be completed in under one hour using basic hand tools.

Notes

This intake is not compatible with Gen3B 2.0T engines. Compatibility can be verified by confirming that the engine is equipped with a mass airflow (MAF) sensor.
