IE Cold Air Intake System for VW MQB Tiguan 2.0T

The Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake System unlocks the true potential of the VW MQB Tiguan’s EA888 Gen 3 2.0T engine. Inspired by motorsport engineering, the system eliminates the airflow restrictions of the factory intake while delivering increased airflow, improved performance, and an aggressive turbocharged sound.

The intake features an integrated velocity stack, a full-width Ram Air scoop, and a large 5-inch high-flow air filter to maximize airflow. The result is an increase of up to 16 CFM over the factory intake, allowing the turbocharger and engine to breathe more efficiently.

Technical Information

The system was developed using detailed 3D scans of the engine bay to maximize every available millimeter of installation space. The integrated velocity stack smoothly transitions air from the 5-inch filter into the intake tubing, minimizing turbulence and maximizing airflow.

Performance

Flow bench testing recorded an increase of up to 16 CFM over the factory intake system. The additional airflow supports tuned engines and other performance upgrades while producing the distinctive turbo spool, intake induction, and turbo relief sounds characteristic of the EA888 Gen 3 engine.

Installation

The intake installs using factory mounting points without permanent modifications. Installation can be completed with basic hand tools in approximately one hour.
