The Integrated Engineering Turbo Outlet Pipe replaces the restrictive factory plastic turbo outlet pipe with a high-flow aluminum performance design. The factory pipe features tight bends and pinched sections that restrict airflow directly after the turbocharger, while the IE constant-diameter design provides a much smoother and more efficient charge air path.

Constructed from mandrel-bent, TIG-welded aluminum with precision CNC-machined hose ends, the outlet pipe delivers up to 13.44% more airflow than stock while improving durability, boost reliability, and overall performance.

Technical Information

The Turbo Outlet Pipe features mandrel-bent aluminum tubing with TIG-welded, CNC-machined thick-wall hose ends designed to eliminate deformation under clamp load. Grip-Lock ribs and radiused ends provide a secure, leak-free connection while maintaining maximum durability under high boost.

Performance

Flow bench testing demonstrates an airflow improvement of up to 13.44% over the factory outlet pipe. The constant-diameter design minimizes airflow turbulence immediately after the turbocharger, improving charge air efficiency and supporting higher-performance ECU calibrations.

Installation

The outlet pipe installs without permanent modifications. Installation requires removal of the belly pan, several factory clips, and the radiator fan assembly, with an estimated installation time of approximately two hours. GTI owners are encouraged to install the IE Turbo Muffler Delete simultaneously for maximum benefit.

Notes

The IE Turbo Muffler Delete is sold separately and is compatible only with GTI models. On Golf R and Audi S3 models, the factory turbo muffler is integrated into the original outlet pipe and is replaced by this component.
