The Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake is a performance intake system developed for EA888 Gen1 and Gen2 2.0T TSI engines. Featuring a large 5-inch motorsport-inspired velocity stack, sealed heat shield and ram-air intake design, it delivers increased airflow while reducing the restrictions of the factory intake system.

The improved airflow benefits both stock and tuned engines by sharpening throttle response while enhancing turbocharger, engine induction and blow-off valve sound.

Technical Information

The oversized velocity stack smoothly directs airflow from the entire surface of the air filter toward the mass airflow sensor and turbocharger while reducing turbulence and pressure loss. The design supports substantially higher airflow than the factory intake and is suitable for higher-output performance applications.

The sealed heat shield isolates the intake from engine bay heat and channels cool outside air from the front of the vehicle directly into the filter. This helps maintain lower intake temperatures without placing the filter in a location exposed to water or road debris.

Performance

The increased airflow allows ECU tuning and supporting engine modifications to operate more efficiently while reducing intake restriction throughout the RPM range. The large filter surface and optimized intake path also provide airflow capacity suitable for high-power engine builds.

The intake additionally delivers a more pronounced turbocharger, induction and blow-off valve sound compared to the factory intake system.

Installation

The system installs using the factory mounting locations and rubber grommets without drilling or permanent modifications. All required intake tubing, silicone couplers, heat shield components and hardware are included, allowing installation in approximately one hour using basic hand tools.

Notes

This intake is designed exclusively for EA888 Gen1 and Gen2 2.0T TSI timing chain engines. It is not compatible with earlier EA113 FSI timing belt engines or later EA888 Gen3 engines. Verify your engine version before ordering.
