FitcamX Starvis2 dash cam, Volvo S60 V60 (2nd Gen) (2010-2018)

FitcamX STARVIS2 dash cam, Volvo S60 V60 (2nd Gen) (2010-2018)

Discreet installation, clearer footage and smarter parking monitoring. FitcamX STARVIS2 combines a factory-style camera housing with Sony’s next-generation imaging technology. The camera blends into the rearview mirror area and records your journeys automatically, without a suction cup mount or loose cables across the dashboard.

The STARVIS2 range improves low-light recording, handling of strong lighting contrasts and parking monitoring. Choose a 4K front camera or a front and rear camera kit.

Discreet installation with a factory-style finish

The vehicle-specific front camera replaces the original panel behind the rearview mirror. Its housing follows the car’s original design for a clean appearance inside the cabin. No separate suction cup mount is needed.

For normal driving use, power comes from the car’s original connection using the included vehicle-specific harness. With the rear-camera kit, route the cable from the front camera to the rear window, for example along the edge of the headlining.

4K front recording and optional 2K rear recording

The front camera records in 4K UHD. The dual-camera kit adds a 2K rear camera to capture events behind the car as well. Both cameras support HDR to help retain details in bright and dark areas of the scene.

• Front-camera kit: 4K front camera and 64 GB memory card.
• Front and rear kit: 4K front camera, 2K rear camera and 128 GB memory card.

Select the rear camera when ordering. A rear camera cannot be added to the front-only version later because the hardware differs between versions.

Smarter parking monitoring – keep recording while parked

The standard FitcamX parking monitor starts recording when it detects an impact. Equipped with the IMX678 sensor, STARVIS2 adds two useful options:

• Continuous, energy-efficient time-lapse recording
• Motion-activated recording

Parking monitoring requires a separately purchased compatible hardwire kit connected to the vehicle’s fuse box.
The included Plug & Play power cable is intended for recording while driving.

Time-Lapse Parking Guard – capture events at one frame per second
When parked, the camera records one frame per second to create a sped-up video covering a longer period. The lower frame rate saves memory card space and reduces power consumption compared with normal video recording. If an impact is detected, the camera switches to normal 30 FPS recording to capture the event in real time.

Motion-activated parking monitoring – record when something happens
In this mode, the camera remains on standby without continuous video recording. When it detects a moving object within its field of view, it automatically starts recording a clip. Once the event has been recorded, it returns to standby. This saves recordings of activity rather than long stretches of an unchanged parking scene.

Impact-triggered recording
The camera can also monitor the parked vehicle using impact detection. When an impact is detected, it starts a one-minute recording and locks the video to protect it from being overwritten by normal loop recording.

Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 – more detail in challenging light

At the heart of the camera is the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor. Its large 1/1.8-inch sensor and advanced low-light performance help capture details when light is limited.

4K resolution and HDR complete the picture. Bright skies, shaded roadsides and oncoming headlights at night present very different challenges. STARVIS2 imaging technology helps retain details across these changing lighting conditions.

Clearer license plates at night

A high pixel count alone does not guarantee readable plates. Headlight reflections can wash out a license plate, while motion can blur its characters even when the rest of the footage looks clear.

FitcamX’s FCX Night Sight 2.0 image processing is designed to improve nighttime detail. Together with the STARVIS 2 sensor and HDR, it helps control overexposure from bright lights and preserve license plate characters.

License plate readability still depends on lighting, speed, distance and viewing angle.

Automatic recording and easy downloads to your phone

The camera starts with the vehicle and begins recording automatically. Your phone does not need to stay connected while driving. Loop recording replaces the oldest unlocked videos with new footage, while the G-sensor protects impact-related recordings from being overwritten.

Built-in 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi lets you browse and download footage through the FitcamX app. You can also adjust camera settings in the app. Transferring footage from the camera to your phone does not require mobile data.

Two power connections – driving use or parking monitoring too

Plug & Play – a clean standard installation
The included vehicle-specific Y-harness connects to the car’s original connection near the rearview mirror. There is no need to run a separate power cable from the front camera to the fuse box or cigarette lighter socket. This is a convenient option for automatic journey recording.

Fuse box connection – power for parking monitoring
The optional hardwire kit connects to the vehicle’s fuse box, providing the power needed for parking monitoring after the vehicle has been switched off. This connection is required to use the STARVIS2 parking functions.

The hardwire kit is not included in the standard camera package. We recommend professional installation for the fuse box connection.
