The popular OBDeleven 3 scanner is a useful tool for any modern car owner. Read fault codes, check system information and live data, or customise vehicle settings. If a fault appears, you can find out what is happening without first paying for a workshop diagnosis. When buying a used car, you can run a comprehensive scan during the test drive and check live engine data on the road.
The small device plugs into your car’s OBD2 port and sends the information via Bluetooth to the OBDeleven app on your phone.
Many generic OBD readers only show vague fault codes. OBDeleven can also display detailed, model-specific codes and their descriptions in supported vehicles.
We offer the product in three versions. This package includes the device and the FREE Plan. If you want more features and coding options, take a look at the OBDeleven + 200 Credits package or the range-topping OBDeleven ULTIMATE Pack, which also includes a phone holder and protective pouch.

Monitor live data in real time
View real-time sensor and system readings on your phone. Depending on the vehicle, these may include engine speed, boost pressure, coolant temperature, oil temperature and other measured values.
One-Click Apps – additional features
In supported vehicles, One-Click Apps let you adjust equipment settings, activate features and perform various service functions without manual coding. One-Click Apps require Credits, which are not included with this package’s FREE Plan.
Manual coding and adaptations
For more experienced users, OBDeleven offers manual coding and adaptations for Volkswagen Group vehicles, as well as access to supported SFD-protected functions. Manual Volkswagen Group coding requires an additional PRO or ULTIMATE plan.
Toyota & Lexus Hybrid Battery Check
In Toyota and Lexus hybrids and supported electric vehicles, you can monitor high-voltage battery balance and temperature in real time. This gives you more insight into battery condition and possible signs of wear than a fault code alone.
A handy tool when buying a car
OBDeleven is well worth taking along when viewing a used car. The Car Inspection feature helps you go through inspection points with an interactive checklist, and you can scan the car’s systems during the test drive.
Vehicle information in one place
View VIN-based vehicle information such as model year, mileage, engine code and body style. Supported Volkswagen Group, BMW, Toyota and Mercedes-Benz vehicles may also show information about factory-fitted parts and equipment.
FREE Plan – what is included in this package?
OBDeleven 3 works with the FREE Plan as soon as you set it up. This package is a good choice if you mainly want a capable fault-code reader and diagnostic tool without needing all the coding features straight away.

Good to know
Volkswagen Group vehicles from 2024 onwards with SFD2 protection
SFD2-protected Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, Škoda and CUPRA vehicles have presented a challenge for OBD tools, as accessing all functions has required professional workshop equipment. OBDeleven is a licensed Volkswagen Group partner, and support for SFD2 vehicles is expected to be added to the OBDeleven app during autumn or early winter 2026. Once released, this should expand the functions available for SFD2-equipped vehicles.
BMW models from 2024 onwards
Some features may also be limited on BMW models from 2024 onwards. If you are unsure about a particular car, ask our customer service team.

Who is OBDeleven 3 for?
OBDeleven 3 is a good choice if you want a genuinely useful diagnostic tool for your car without having to use a traditional scan tool or laptop. It fits in the glovebox and is ready when a warning light appears, the car behaves strangely or you simply want to see what its systems are doing.

If you later want to change vehicle features or explore more advanced Volkswagen Group coding, you can keep using the same device. Credits and PRO or ULTIMATE features can be purchased separately through us or in the app, or you can choose a Credit Pack or ULTIMATE Pack version from our range.
