Steeda Mustang Strut Tower Cutting Tool 2 3/4" / 69.85mm
Steeda’s self-centring hole-saw kit enlarges the strut-tower opening where the mount nut otherwise limits camber-plate travel. It produces a concentric 2 3/4-inch/69.85 mm opening around the original hole.
A metal-cutting Morse bi-metal saw is centred by a Delrin guide. The guide clears the original and many aftermarket strut nuts, so strut removal is usually unnecessary. No 1/4-inch pilot drill is needed.
The saw accepts a conventional 5/8–18 threaded arbor. Additional tools/materials are a low-speed drill, suitable arbor, cutting oil and paint. Use low RPM, moderate pressure and oil on both teeth and guide. The saw and sacrificial Delrin guide wear with use. excessive speed can damage teeth.
Deburr with fine abrasive paper and paint the exposed steel.
