Spool Performance BMW 7 Speed DCT Upgraded 8/8 Clutch Set

The Spool 8/8 clutch kit increases friction area and torque capacity where the factory dual-clutch pack begins to slip or overheat in a tuned car. Depending on the application, Spool rates the package for up to approximately 1200 ft-lb.

Spool uses its own high-coefficient friction material, developed to handle repeated heat and load while retaining engagement close to the factory feel. Application-specific 6/7, 7/8 or 8/8 layouts increase plate count, with steels sized for the revised stack.

Installation notes

• Measure and set clutch-pack clearances during assembly
• Carry out the required adaptation or relearn after installation
• Match software torque limits and clutch pressure to the actual build
• Complete the specified break-in before full load

This is an internal transmission upgrade and should be fitted by an experienced builder. Some versions are offered for a customer-supplied basket or on an exchange basis; check the product options.
