A downpipe is one of the most popular upgrades for a turbocharged engine. Efficient exhaust flow is important for a turbo system, and a freer-flowing pipe can provide a sportier sound while improving throttle response and power potential. This Bull-X downpipe is also available with an HJS catalytic converter and model-specific ECE approval. The ECE version is intended for legal road use on the vehicle applications covered by the approval.

Bull-X 3″ downpipe, Ford Focus Mk2 / Volvo C30 T5 is a vehicle-specific stainless-steel assembly for Ford Focus Mk2 ST/RS and Volvo C30 T5 models. Its 76 mm / 3″ pipe size and freer-flowing design reduce exhaust back pressure and allow the turbocharger to operate with less restriction, particularly on tuned engines.

Lower back pressure can improve turbo response and throttle response while reducing thermal load on the exhaust side. The vehicle-specific design replaces the original component without unnecessary fabrication.

Catalytic-converter options

• With a 200-cell sports catalytic converter
• ECE-approved for the Ford Focus RS Mk2
• ECE-approved for the Ford Focus ST Mk2
• Without a catalytic converter

Versions without a catalytic converter or with a regular 100- or 200-cell sports catalyst do not include model-specific ECE approval. They are intended for motorsport and other off-road enthusiast use. Do not use an unapproved version on public roads, and always check the current road regulations.

Unapproved catalytic-converter options or a catalyst-delete version may trigger a fault code related to the downstream oxygen sensor. Any required software changes depend on the vehicle ECU and selected version.
