Bull-X Downpipe VAG 1.8-2.0 TFSI EA888 Gen.3 (e.g. Golf 7 GTI + R) (ECE)
A downpipe is one of the most popular turbo-engine upgrades. A freer-flowing exhaust side can add a sportier sound while supporting throttle response and power potential. Read more in the Futurez downpipe guide.
This downpipe is also available with model-specific ECE approval. The ECE version is intended for legal road use in the vehicle applications covered by the approval.
Bull-X Downpipe VAG 1.8-2.0 TFSI EA888 Gen.3 (e.g. Golf 7 GTI + R) (ECE) offers vehicle-specific bolt-on fitment in place of the original downpipe. Its larger diameter and freer-flowing shape reduce back pressure after the turbocharger. This can sharpen turbo response and reduce exhaust-side thermal load, particularly on tuned engines.
- Pipe size 84mm / 121mm
- Vehicle-specific construction
- Freer-flowing design reduces exhaust back pressure
- Helps reduce thermal load on the turbocharger and exhaust side
- Manufactured from stainless steel
- TIG-welded construction
- Made in Germany
Catalytic-converter options
- Without catalytic converter
- HJS 200+100-cell ECE
- 100-cell sports catalyst
- 200-cell sports catalyst
- HJS 200-cell EOBD
- HJS 200-cell ECE
An unapproved catalyst version or catalyst-delete pipe is intended for motorsport and off-road enthusiast use. Do not use an unapproved version on public roads, and always check the current road regulations. On some models, a freer-flowing catalyst may trigger a warning light because the ECU monitors exhaust flow. In these cases, the ECU settings may need adjustment or the downstream oxygen sensor may require a suitable adapter.
