Akrapovič develops materials, structure and sound as one complete system. Months of development refine both performance and the sound character until everything is in tune. This long Evolution link pipe set is made from high-grade stainless steel and was developed with Akrapovič’s titanium Slip-On Line. A resonator in the middle section shapes a deep, rich and sporty straight-six sound without unwanted drone. The design removes the second set of stock catalysts.

The lighter-than-stock link pipe extends a complete Slip-On into an Evolution configuration. The performance figures below describe the manufacturer’s tested link pipe and rear-exhaust combination.

Manufacturer measurements

Akrapovič’s technical table describes the Slip-On and link pipe configuration tested on an OPF/GPF-equipped BMW M4 Competition against its stock exhaust. The weight figures refer to the link pipe set.

Power and torque figures are the manufacturer’s maximum gains at the stated engine speeds, rather than differences between peak engine outputs. The vehicle version and configuration affect the results achieved.

Fitment and points to consider

Akrapovič lists BMW M2 G87, M3 G80/G81 and M4 G82/G83 in OPF and non-OPF configurations. This long version is intended for markets outside the United States. A compatible Akrapovič Slip-On exhaust is required and sold separately. ECU remapping is mandatory. This product does not meet road-emission requirements and is for closed-course use only.

Installation and setup

We recommend having your Akrapovič exhaust installed by an authorised Akrapovič dealer. Appropriate test equipment and software help verify correct exhaust operation, valve control and settings after installation.

We offer professional installation of Akrapovič products at our ECU Helsinki Customs workshop in Vantaa, Finland.
