The Slip-On Line for the BMW M5 F90 is made from lightweight, high-grade titanium, with intricate components cast in Akrapovič’s own foundry. The manufacturer developed the system to improve responsiveness and drivability, with power and torque gains measured across the rev range.

Its sound differs from the stock exhaust, especially during acceleration, gear changes and overrun. A hand-crafted carbon fibre tailpipe set finishes the package and is designed to suit the optional Akrapovič diffuser.

The included TP-CT/47/RS tailpipe set combines hand-crafted carbon fibre sleeves with sandblasted titanium inner sections. The round tailpipes have a larger diameter than the stock tips and carry a red-and-white Akrapovič logo.

Power and torque figures are the manufacturer’s maximum gains at the stated engine speeds, rather than differences between peak engine outputs. The vehicle version and configuration affect the results achieved.

Fitment and points to consider

For the BMW M5 F90 LCI, including OPF/GPF-equipped Competition and CS versions. Akrapovič states ECE approval for this configuration. The stock exhaust must be cut as specified in the installation instructions. The optional Sound Kit P-HF1132 invalidates ECE approval.

Installation and setup

We recommend having your Akrapovič exhaust installed by an authorised Akrapovič dealer. Appropriate test equipment and software help verify correct exhaust operation, valve control and settings after installation.

We offer professional installation of Akrapovič products at our ECU Helsinki Customs workshop in Vantaa, Finland.
