Akrapovič Slip-On Line titanium exhaust – BMW M8 Gran Coupé F93 OPF
Akrapovič develops materials, structure and sound as one complete system. Months of development refine both performance and the sound character until everything is in tune. Manufacturing takes place in Akrapovič’s own facilities, with intricate cast components made in its own foundry. At Futurez, we have proudly served as an Akrapovič importer for over a decade.
The Slip-On Line for the BMW M8 is made entirely from lightweight, high-grade titanium alloy and finished with titanium and carbon fibre tailpipes. Its intricate valve housings and collectors between the central muffler and tailpipes are cast in Akrapovič’s own titanium foundry.
Two valves, one on each side of the muffler, shape the exhaust flow and sound. The difference from the stock exhaust is particularly noticeable during acceleration and gear changes. An optional Sound Kit adds manual control of the sound mode.
Manufacturer measurements
Measured on Akrapovič’s dynamometer against the standard M Sport exhaust of a BMW M8 Competition. The figures below are the maximum gains shown in this product page’s technical table.
| Measurement | Change versus stock |
|---|---|
| Power | Up to +9.8 kW / +13.3 hp (metric) at 5 100 rpm |
| Torque | Up to +18.1 Nm at 5 100 rpm |
| Weight | −4.6 kg / −26.9 % |
| Measured weight | Akrapovič 12.5 kg, stock 17.1 kg |
Power and torque figures are the manufacturer’s maximum gains at the stated engine speeds, rather than differences between peak engine outputs. The vehicle version and configuration affect the results achieved.
Fitment and points to consider
For BMW M8 and M8 Competition F93 Gran Coupé with an OPF/GPF filter. Akrapovič states ECE approval for the Slip-On configuration. The stock exhaust must be cut as directed in the installation instructions. Adding the Sound Kit invalidates ECE approval. The Evolution link pipe mentioned in the manufacturer’s description also invalidates approval and requires ECU remapping. Its current availability must be confirmed separately.
Optional Sound Kit
The optional Akrapovič Sound Kit P-HF1263 lets you switch between quieter and sportier sound modes with the wireless Sound Remote Controller. A receiver operates the exhaust valve actuators. This receiver is already included in the Evolution system. Using the Sound Kit invalidates ECE approval. Manufacturer images are representative.
The Sound Kit is optional. Select the package without it or add it using the product options.
