Akrapovič Slip-On Line titanium exhaust – BMW X5 M F95 and X6 M F96 LCI
Akrapovič develops materials, structure and sound as one complete system. Months of development refine both performance and the sound character until everything is in tune. Manufacturing takes place in Akrapovič’s own facilities, with intricate cast components made in its own foundry. At Futurez, we have proudly served as an Akrapovič importer for over a decade.
The Slip-On Line is built from lightweight, high-grade titanium alloys. Its tailpipes combine titanium and carbon fibre, while complex components such as valve housings and the collectors between the central muffler and tailpipes are made in Akrapovič’s own titanium foundry.
A valve on either side of the muffler controls exhaust flow and shapes the sound. The difference from the stock system is most apparent during acceleration and gear changes. An optional Sound Kit adds control from the cabin, and a matching carbon fibre diffuser is available separately.
Manufacturer measurements
The figures in Akrapovič’s technical table describe its tested configuration against the stock exhaust. The description identifies a BMW X5 M with its stock M Sport exhaust as the comparison vehicle.
| Measurement | Change versus stock |
|---|---|
| Power | Up to +7.0 kW / +9.5 hp (metric) at 5 700 rpm |
| Torque | Up to +15.0 Nm at 2 550 rpm |
| Weight | −8.4 kg / −40.6 % |
| Measured weight | Akrapovič 12.3 kg, stock 20.7 kg |
Power and torque figures are the manufacturer’s maximum gains at the stated engine speeds, rather than differences between peak engine outputs. The vehicle version and configuration affect the results achieved.
Fitment and points to consider
Akrapovič states ECE approval for the OPF-equipped configuration. Approval is not valid for non-OPF cars or with the optional Sound Kit or Evolution link pipe assembly. The Evolution link pipe requires ECU remapping. Installing the Slip-On system requires cutting the stock exhaust as specified by the manufacturer.
Optional Sound Kit
The optional Akrapovič Sound Kit lets you control the exhaust valves from the cabin. Switch between a quieter mode and a sportier sound using the wireless Sound Remote Controller or Akrapovič’s iOS and Android smartphone app. A receiver operates the actuators that open and close the exhaust valves.
Using the Sound Kit invalidates the exhaust system’s ECE type approval. Manufacturer images are representative. Select it only as an option for a compatible Akrapovič exhaust.
The Sound Kit is optional. Select the package without it or add it using the product options.
Other accessories
The following accessories are sold separately. Check each accessory’s details for fitment and any restrictions.

Installation and setup
We recommend having your Akrapovič exhaust installed by an authorised Akrapovič dealer. Appropriate test equipment and software help verify correct exhaust operation, valve control and settings after installation.
We offer professional installation of Akrapovič products at our ECU Helsinki Customs workshop in Vantaa, Finland.
