Akrapovic exhaust system, Audi S3 Sportback (8Y) 2020-2023
This system is constructed using lightweight race-proven materials, titanium for the muffler and link pipe section, and carbon fibre for two sets of newly designed, hand-crafted tailpipes. All this leads to over 41% lighter result in comparison to the standard stock system. The Evolution Line (Titanium) has been produced with a specific exhaust valve – which has a housing cast in Akrapovič’s own foundry. This design features a perfect gas flow allowing the sound to be tailored to deliver an Akrapovič aural effect. Enjoy the smooth, rich sound at normal cruising, with a deep and sporty tone when driving the Audi S3 more dynamically. Power is increased by 4 kW (5.4 hp) at 4,350 rpm, with a torque gain of 8.8 Nm at 3,900 rpm. These figures were measured on the Akrapovič dyno when tested against an Audi S3 with a standard stock exhaust. No remapping is required, giving it a plug-and-play capability. An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is also available to offer the driver greater control over the superb tones produced by the system. The exhaust system is ECE type approved for cars equipped with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter.
Akrapovic is known as one of, if not the most high-quality exhaust pipe brand in the automotive industry, which has also worked as a manufacturer of original pipes, e.g. for car brands like Koenigsegg. In addition, Akrapovic has more than 160 years of heritage in motorsport, both as an expert in motorcycle and car exhaust systems.
The manufacturer is known for its lightweight titanium pipes with their signature sound. Details of these systems, depending on the product, are typically finished with the highest quality prepreg carbon fiber or kevlar. Akrapovic exhaust system types
Depending on the model, Akra’s selection typically includes a easy Slip-on upgrade, which in some models can be expanded into an even more comprehensive, race/track oriented Evolution series package. In some models, Evolution system might be recommended with tuning of the engine or needs adjustments to the modern emission systems (OPF engines). Depending on the model, additional accessories for Akrapovic systems include carbon fiber rear diffusers or other upgrades that adapt the appearance of the new piping.
The Akrapovic Sound-Kit is an optional add-on to be installed in systems equipped with flap valves, this add-on enables manual control of the exhaust flaps from the switch / key fob on the dashboard, or from the Bluetooth application on the mobile phone.
