Steeda S550 Mustang Hood Strut Kit

Gas struts free up working space in the engine bay. Steeda’s broad mounting brackets distribute the load over a larger area, claimed to be three times that of competing kits.

Powder-coated mounting plates use adhesive neoprene backing to protect the paint and prevent direct metal contact. OE-quality gas struts are included, and Steeda states European ECE approval.

Fitment and installation

Mustang S550 2015–2023 with the original bonnet. Not for GT350 or GT500 due to their different bonnet designs, and not recommended for aftermarket bonnets. Cars from 2018 use a smaller bonnet mounting stud, so avoid overtightening the nut.
