JR JRWA1 20 mm wheel spacers, 5×120
Japan Racing JRWA1 is a bolt-on wheel spacer with a thickness of 20 mm per side. It moves the wheel outward to adjust its position, create additional clearance or produce a wider stance. The spacer attaches to the hub with m12x1.5 bolts, after which the wheel mounts to the spacer’s m12x1.5 studs, protrusion 27.5 mm with wheel nuts.
This silver model uses the 5×120 bolt pattern. Each spacer moves the wheel outward by 20 mm, increasing the total track width of one axle by 40 mm. The package contains two spacers.
Ideally, the wheel offset places the wheel in a position that works correctly and sits naturally within the wheel arch. Factory wheels often use a conservative offset, which can leave an otherwise suitable wheel unnecessarily far inside the arch.

How does a spacer affect wheel position?
The wheel’s ET or offset describes the position of its mounting face relative to the wheel centreline. Installing a 20 mm spacer moves the wheel outward by 20 mm and reduces its effective offset by the same amount. For example, an ET45 wheel sits like an ET25 wheel after this spacer is fitted.
Moving the wheel outward can improve its position in relation to the wheel arch and increase clearance from suspension components. It also increases track width. An excessively thick spacer can bring the tyre too close to the arch, so clearance must be checked with the vehicle loaded and with the steering both straight and at full lock.
Check the dimensions and attachment before ordering
The spacer’s bolt pattern, centre bore, centring dimensions and thread must match both the vehicle hub and the wheel. This model has a 72.6 mm hub bore and a 72.6 mm wheel-side centring lip.
Slip-on spacers often require longer wheel bolts or studs. Bolt-on JRWA models form their own attachment assembly. Always check the correct conical or ball seat, thread compatibility, sufficient thread engagement and that the vehicle’s original bolts or studs do not contact the wheel or spacer structure.
JRWA1 spacer design
A bolt-on spacer for cars whose wheels normally use bolts. The spacer bolts to the hub, and the wheel attaches to the spacer’s pressed-in studs with wheel nuts.
Approval notice: JR spacers are selected by dimensions and thread type and are not vehicle-specific E-approved components. A possible TUV quality approval does not by itself constitute vehicle-specific approval. The customer must check the requirements applicable to the vehicle and the use of spacers with the relevant inspection authority.
Other JR spacer types:
JRWS1
A thin slip-on spacer without its own wheel-side centring lip. The vehicle’s original hub lip must extend far enough through the spacer to centre the wheel. Check whether longer wheel bolts or studs are required.
JRWS2
A slip-on hub-centric spacer with centring on the hub and wheel sides. Longer wheel bolts or studs are normally required.
JRWA2
A bolt-on spacer for cars whose wheels normally use bolts. The spacer bolts to the hub, and ordinary wheel bolts fasten the wheel into the spacer’s threaded holes.
JRWA3
A bolt-on spacer for cars with factory wheel studs. The spacer attaches to the vehicle’s studs with special nuts, and the wheel mounts to the spacer’s pressed-in studs.
JRWA4
A bolt-on PCD adapter that can also change the number of wheel bolts, for example from a four-bolt hub to a five-bolt wheel.
JRWS4
A spacer designed for Porsche 3/5-tab-style wheel hubs. Always check the product dimensions and hub construction.
JRWS2-SL Super Light
A lightweight-machined Super Light spacer made from high-strength 7075-T6 aluminium.
JRWS3 for OEM wheels
A model optimised for OEM wheels, featuring a longer-than-usual centring lip. Observe the product-specific maximum hub length and the clearance required by the wheel centre-bore bevel.
