MRT bump-steer tie-rod kit, BMW E30/E36/E46

Adjustable outer tie-rod assemblies for tuning bump steer after lowering or changing caster and camber. The required inner joints depend on the suspension combination.

Specifications

• Lightweight AW-7075 aluminium extensions with angled ends for additional suspension travel and black hard anodising.
• Replaceable three-piece JMX Motorsport rod ends and three bump-steer positions.
• MRT-20006-1: ±5 mm adjustment for original-type chassis and strut combinations.
• MRT-20006-1W: 20 ±5 mm correction for substantial caster changes, such as an E30 fitted with E36 spindles.
• Manufacturer-stated weight reduction of 50% compared with the original steel rods.
• CrMo mounting studs, 316L spacers and new fasteners. Critical joints use machined castle nuts with retaining pins. Mounting hardware and MRT decals are included.

Fitment and required parts

BMW E30, E36, E36 M3, Z3, Z3 M, E46, E46 M3, Z4 and Z4 M. Excludes E30 iX and E46 xi/xd. Select the correct spindle interface and correction range. An MRT RACE spindle option is also offered.

• E30 applications require E36-style inner tie-rod ends.
• E46, E46 M3, Z4 and Z4 M applications require longer E90-style inner tie-rod ends.

Check wheel-to-spindle clearance against the manufacturer’s fitment illustrations. With the specified companion parts, installation is bolt-on without special tools. Front alignment is required afterwards.
