MRT RACE front arms and geometry correction, BMW E30–E46

Adjustable RACE front control arms with 20 mm roll-centre and bump-steer correction for lowered BMWs. Retains the original steering ratio and Ackermann angle.

Geometry and companion parts

• Extended studs provide 20 mm roll-centre correction. Bump-steer correction is 20 mm with ±5 mm fine adjustment.
• Lightweight AW-7075 tie-rod extensions. The kit does not increase steering lock.
• E30 applications require E36-style inner tie-rod ends.
• E46 applications and all +30 mm arm options require longer E90-style inner tie-rod ends.
• Check wheel clearance against the manufacturer’s fitment illustrations. Steering-rack stops are strongly recommended.

Construction and installation

• Gen 3.5 arms in standard width or +30 mm per side, increasing overall width by 60 mm.
• Adjustable width, wheelbase/caster and anti-dive. The triangular construction is designed especially for circuit use.
• Manufacturer-stated weight saving of 60% versus original cast-steel arms, or 25% for E46 arms.
• Machined AW-7075 aluminium arms and rods. Mounting components use CrMo steel and Grade 5 titanium. Rear brackets are TIG-welded structural steel.
• One-piece fasteners and machined castle nuts with PVD coating.
• The E46 M3 chassis option includes brackets for the original front reinforcement plate/belly pan.
• Steering lock is slightly reduced. Not intended for drifting. Steering-rack stops are recommended.
• There are no anti-roll-bar mounts on the arms. Use E30 M3, E36 M3 or E46-style strut mounting, adding separately supplied weld brackets if needed.
• Both the subframe bracket and the additional rear-bracket weld bung require welding. Installation requires vehicle fabrication and welding skills.
• Original fuel lines may need rerouting on E30 chassis. Instructions and MRT decals are included.

Select chassis, spindle and width to match the actual combination of parts. Applications cover E30, E36, E46, Z3 and Z4 families and the M versions listed in the selectors. Excludes E30 iX and E46 xi/xd.
