Steeda 555-8110 converts compatible front struts to height-adjustable coilovers. Hard-anodised billet aluminium is lightweight. stated mechanical adjustment range is up to six inches/152 mm, not a universally safe lowering amount.
The two-piece upper spring perch has an O-ring-sealed Torrington-type roller bearing for spring rotation with reduced friction/noise. A nylon-tipped grub screw locks the collar without damaging threads. Uses 2.5-inch/63.5 mm coilover springs. Made in the USA.
Options and springs
Choose conversion sleeves only or with Hyperco front springs. Rear springs and dampers are excluded. Recommended spring rates: 150 lb/in for substantially lightened front ends, 175 lb/in for modest weight reduction or aluminium-head 351 Windsor builds, 200 lb/in for stock/slightly heavier front ends. Select the exact rate for the build.
Strut compatibility
Fits Steeda Pro-Action, Tokico Illumina/D-Spec, Strange Adjustable, Koni Sport/Single/Double Adjustable and Lakewood 2.2-inch housings. Excludes Bilstein, QA1, Koni STR.T and Lakewood 2.0-inch housings. Reversible to stock.
