RacingLine Oil Cooler Kit – 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen3/Gen4 MQB

RacingLine VWR18G700 is a complete engine oil cooler kit for 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen3 and Gen4 engines on MQB and MQB Evo platforms. It is particularly suited to tuned, track-driven or hot-climate vehicles where the capacity of the factory cooling system may become insufficient.

The system retains the factory oil-to-water cooler and adds a front-mounted 10-row oil-to-air cooler. According to RacingLine, engine oil temperature can be reduced by approximately 15–20°C depending on use, state of tune and ambient temperature.

The CNC-machined adaptor installs beneath the oil filter housing, directs oil to the cooler and incorporates pressure-control valving to protect the system from pressure spikes. The kit also includes a billet-aluminium filter housing and a cleanable stainless-steel micronic filter with magnetic pre-filtration.

Compatibility

RacingLine-confirmed applications include Volkswagen Golf 7/7.5 and Golf 8/8.5 GTI and R, Passat B8, Arteon, T-Roc, Tiguan II and Jetta/GLI. Confirm the engine version before ordering.

Model-year 2015 and older vehicles may additionally require Volkswagen oil-filter stem insert 06L115678Q. Installing the brackets requires holes to be drilled through the front crash bar.

RacingLine does not recommend installing the kit immediately on a freshly rebuilt engine. The engine should complete a running-in period of at least approximately 1,600 km, followed by an oil and filter change before fitting the kit.
